I Swim with the Whale Shark

Do you want to swim with the whale shark during your visit to Mexico? This unique experience is available daily between the months of June and September. We pick you up at your hotel to go to Playa Mujeres in Cancun, where we will distribute you in boats of 10 people maximum. Once ready we will leave for the area where the whale sharks are located.

During the excursion you will have the opportunity to make 1 to 2 dives of about 5-10 minutes each, in groups of two people. These dives will allow you to safely approach the impressive whale sharks as they swim near the surface. After this sighting we will go to the crystal clear waters of Playa Norte, one of the most beautiful beaches of Isla Mujeres. At the end, we will go to Playa Mujeres, from where we will be taken back to the hotel.

It is important to keep in mind that during the tour it is forbidden to apply sunscreen, as this can negatively affect the marine ecosystem. Although every effort is made to spot the whale sharks, nature is unpredictable and sighting cannot be guaranteed, although it is very rare for this to occur. In the event that whale sharks are not sighted, no refund of the tour will be made. You should also know that according to federal rules, if there are not at least 2 sharks, you will not be able to swim with them, only sighting will be allowed. Therefore, the dives will depend on the number of sharks present in the area on that particular day.
