It is located in the south of the state, just 40 km north of the capital, Chetumal, which since February 2, 2011 is the head of the municipality of Bacalar.

This tour offers you a complete experience, in which you will travel in a boat that pirates used to use to explore the Lagoon of the Seven Colors, a visit to its historic fortress of San Felipe and the opportunity to take a dip in the cenotes of the Bacalar area. Excursion to Bacalar: Start your adventure

Your excursion to Bacalar begins with pick-up at your hotel, from where we will head south, towards the famous Lagoon of the Seven Colors, also called Bacalar Lagoon. Here we will get on a boat that will take you to explore the lagoon and its enigmatic canals, which used to be the entrance for pirates in past times. On this journey you will visit the Pirates’ Channel and you can cool off in the Black Cenote, a place full of fantasy and mystery where you will understand why the lagoon is known as “lagoon of the 7 colors”.

After this experience, we will go to a local restaurant, where a delicious à la carte meal awaits you, to savor the gastronomy of the region. You will explore the town of Bacalar, where you will have time to visit the historic Fort of San Felipe and the stromatolite sanctuary. Finally, we will enjoy the impressive Black Cenote, an authentic natural wonder.

The last stop before returning to the dock will be Bird Island, a place where you can breathe peace and serenity among the harmony of the birds.

Finally, you will return to your hotel in the comfortable transportation provided from Bacalar.
